I started Connexsolve because I kept seeing the same thing: small business owners who wanted to take care of their people, but didn't have the time, the budget clarity, or the bandwidth to figure out how. Benefits are confusing. Insurance is more confusing. And when you need to hire, you're doing it on top of everything else it already takes to run a business.
I'm a small business owner myself, so I understand the pressure of doing it all without a big team behind you. My background is on the systems side of this problem: public health, health policy, biotech, direct patient care, and Medicare claims data work at major research institutions, plus years spent coaching people through change.
All of that adds up to the same thing: I know how to make complicated systems make sense, so you don't have to become an expert in them just to take care of your people.
What I do:
I'm licensed in life, health, and Medicare insurance, and I place group coverage nationwide through Messer Financial: traditional health, dental, vision, long-term care, and disability plans from a full range of carriers, not one company's product. I also work with HealthWise's flexible benefits options, so you're not stuck picking between a traditional plan and a modern one. And when a business needs the right person and doesn't have the bandwidth to find them alone, I help with hiring too.
I have a particular soft spot for home health agencies. I care for my own father, so I see those challenges firsthand. I've also worked at ski resorts, so I understand what seasonal and outdoor businesses are up against with healthcare. And I've watched people I love pour themselves into nonprofit work while navigating uncertain funding and low pay. Wherever your business fits, you're getting real experience, not just theory.
If you're a small business owner trying to sort out benefits, insurance, or hiring, and you'd rather talk to a person than figure it out alone, let's talk.
